Everyone loves a good burger, it’s a must for every home cook’s collection, especially when you’re planning a BBQ party or a get-together. Try our classic beef burger recipe with a spicy twist.
Ingredients:
2 tomatoes sliced (to serve)
1 cucumber sliced (to serve)
½ small red onion, thinly sliced (to serve)
1 small white onion, finely chopped
1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
4 oak leaf lettuce leaves (to serve)
600g beef mince
¼ cup olive oil
1 tbs oregano, finely chopped
2 garlic gloves, crushed
4 jumbo lunch rolls, split, chargrilled
¼ cup of TABASCO® Chipotle Pepper Sauce
Method:
Combine mince, red onion, garlic 1 tbs oil, sauce, and oregano in a bowl. Mix together using clean hands. Divide into four portions and shape into patties 11cm in diameter. Make a dent in the centre with your thumb (this helps to prevent them shrinking during cooking). Stack patties, separating them with baking paper, and chill for 15-minutes
Heat a frying pan or barbecue on medium-high heat. Brush sides of patties with oil and cook for 5 minutes each side or until cooked through
Fill rolls with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and onion. Top with a patty, extra cucumber, cheese, or onion if desired
Enjoy!
