Pigs in a Blanket

Serves: 6 people

 
 

The only thing better than bacon is bacon-wrapped sausages, matched here with a sweet maple-and-mustard dressing and topped with TABASCO® Original Red Sauce.  

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • 2 tbs maple syrup

  • 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tbs seeded mustard

  • 500g pork sausages

  • 12 slices streaky bacon, thin slices

  • 3 truss tomatoes, halved

  • 3 vine-ripened tomatoes, halved

  • 200g pkt mixed salad leaves, to serve

  • TABASCO® Original Red Sauce  

Method:

  1. Preheat a barbecue grill or chargrill pan over medium-high heat

  2. Whisk syrup, oil and mustard in a bowl. Wrap sausages in bacon

  3. Grill sausages and tomatoes, turning and brushing with syrup mixture occasionally, for 10 minutes or until cooked through and browned. Transfer to a plate. Cover with foil. Rest 5 minutes.

  4. Serve sausages with TABASCO® Original Red Sauce
